9/10/07 - BAD PHOTO'S OF GOOD PEOPLE
If bodyboarding was more popular, and our most notorious celebrity wasn't a convicted drug smuggler, (Schapelle Corby) then the magazines we read would be similar to trashy mags such as "Women's Day" and "Tracks". Inside those magazine's would be "fashion don't" sections and they would most likely feature photos like the one above. (CLICK THE IMAGE ABOVE TO ENLARGE)

Manta bodyboards successfully surfed into the record books on Sunday 30th September at the Australian National Titles held at Town Beach Port Macquarie.
The Guinness World Record attempt was to successfully ride the worlds largest bodyboard with the most people on one board.
After 4 failed rides that ended up in hilarious nose dives, the grommets decided to change their approach and redirect the weight to the tail. 10 lucky groms successfully rode the board to shore in classic style and surfed their way into the record books.
Manta team rider and chief board pusher Dave Crowley said “the nose dives were a crack up! As soon as the nose goes under the kids at the back get fully catapulted out into the flats. Stoked they actually rode one though, it made for some funny viewing."
2/10/07 - Summer Is Here
Summer is not officially here, but if you’re on the East Coast like we are, then you will already be aware that it’s getting hot! As you know, with summer heat and 2 foot waves comes "legend" stand up's, who fill their bored summers harassing people smaller than them. Well its time to take revenge! As Bunting (above) shows us, a cutty reverse is the perfect way to piss off a "legend", time it right and as you spin around you may even catch a glimpse of the water running down the victim's surly face. If your victim is a true "legend" he may even complain that "you WET him". Also on Buntings list of things to do is: burn your friends, malibu style DK like Dallas and stand up boogie. (Click the image above for more pics.)
28/9/07 - Coco Madeline Winchester
Congratulations To Amy and Dave who just had a beautiful baby girl, Coco Madeline Winchester. Everyone on the team and at WBP wishes them the best! Congratulations again.

The Port Mac "Insert Name Here __" premiere went down in style on Wednesday with about 200 rowdy and possibly intoxicated teenagers packing the Port cinema. Thanks to everyone who came and no thanks to the seedy club owner who kicked me out for placeing my drink on the ATM.
"Insert Name Here ___" will be in all good stores next week. If you’re local shop doesn't stock it then email us (info@waldronbros.com) or buy it from one of the online bodyboard shops.

3/9/07 - Insert Name Here ____!
Dam we have been working hard lately, in fact this whole year. You guys have pirated our DVD's so that much that we now have to make 2 per year just to get by.
You're really lucky we love what we do.
Since releasing "Denis" and "Leroy", every little comedian has been asking us "can you name the next film after me?". This year when we were banging our head against the desk hoping for a decent DVD name to come out... "BOOMMMM!!!" Chad yelled "we should call it "Insert Name Here ___," and release it with a texta, so everyone can name it whatever the hell they want; Mike, Sarah, Charlie, Vague Heights; you get the idea.
And so after 4 weeks locked away editing we are almost finished Insert Name Here ____.
Showcasing shredders such as World Champ Jeff Hubbard, Queenslander's Corey McLean and Joe Clarke. Other sections include all the usual pros and the not so usual young rippers, filmed in Queensland, Hawaii, the South Coast, Victoria, Western Australia, Bali, and Chile.
The DVD is out September 20.
Premiere details coming soon.
Keep checking here for teasers pics and more info.
3/8/07 - Red Back Pro
Lester Wins!!!
Cronulla's Andrew Lester has taken out the Redback Pro presented by NAB at Knights beach SA.
Lester blitzed his way to first place but was pushed late in the final by Central Coaster Dave Crowley . Crowley busted a massive invert that had the crowd going nuts but couldn't find a second wave to take the title. SA rider Mike Honeybone finished third and Cronulla's Justin Vassallo was fourth.

Here's a sneak peak at Plastic People's new summer range.

30/8/07 - Face off

We were first told about young Toto from an old friend Mick Waters. Mick is a very accomplished stand up DVD producer. Mick inspired and helped us when we first started filming. He has since moved from the Central Coast to the sunny north coast town of Byron Bay, where he has helped and inspired his new neighbour, Toto, a passionate young bodyboard film-maker.
Faces is one of the best first time productions we have seen for a while. Unlike most first timers, Toto has concentrated on filming things right, instead of graphics and hype. With loads of fresh unseen footage from the north coast and Hawaii. Check out the teaser and buy the DVD at their myspace page.
29/8/07 - IBAtour.com

16/8/07 - Chile paparazzi

While cruising through chile as a guest on the THERES NO i
DVD Mitch Woodland (left) meet the love of his life. She quikly earned the nicknamed crowley because of her uncanny resemblance to Cental Coast shredder Dave Crowley.
Also the day after she was spotted crusing down the street with a blue manta boogie board and a pair of churchills... HAHA

Then quarters semi's and the final which will be man on man as long as the surf prevails. The trials and round one were held today. 27/7/07 - CHILE UPDATE

The There's No i crew have spoted the Chilian Kingy...!
Went on a bender here last night, we drank loads of pisco (cheap arse vodka) at 2am drove a quad across a desert and end up at a club, thought it was a mirage and got home at 8am.
27/7/07 - IN TRAINING

Some of the no i team have been hard at training in true there's no i style pushing there liver to the max just before heading off to chili. Novy has been back at home on the sunny coast getting mags and pillaging like a drunken pirate. While Dallas ventured up to coffs so he could get debaucherous and get away with things that he could not in his home town. lets see if this un-conventual style of training will work for or against them.
my money's on it will!
27/7/07 - INNAUGURAL CYBER COMP

To celebrate the new wave, youriding.com has organized a virtual Blackrock comp. The new wave will be launched and the comp will start on the 30th July and run through to the 4th August, with prizes going to the top 16.

20/7/07 - OFF TO CHILE

The "THERE'S NO i" team and the rest of the IBA world tour is off to chile in a few weeks. The Arica Chilean Challenge sponsored by Science will be held from August 1st to 13th. Jeff Hubbard took out the event last year, and is favorite to do it again, as the waves is full of airbowls. It should be a very entertaining comp with man on man heats for the semis and finals.WIth the equivalent points and more prize money than the Human Shark Island Challenge this is a major event for any world tour hopeful, Stay Tuned to waldronbros.com for regular updates and pIcs as the event unfolds.
15/7/07 - TENNIS

BSC just held their Annual Charity Tennis, Supported by Manta and hydro the event raises money for Beyond Blue (ybblue.com.au) a charity which tackles depression. We (Chad and Kane Waldron) entered as a doubles team and the only people we beat were the buntings (who sucked). It was a fun day and everyone showed off their "gimp" tennis styles. Particluiary Ben Player. Im not sure who won but head here (bodyboarders.com.au) to find out.
3/7/07 - SHARK ISLAND DAY 2

Photo: coreactiv
In semi 2 Ballard got an interference on Mike Stewart, which put Ben in to the final. There were four 10's given in the final, 2 of which went to ben player, it was seriously the best final we've whiteness you should already know but ben won and took home more honor than cash. Ben said "Jethro and some local guy told me I could never win a Shark Island Challenge, well f*#k them, now who's laughing." And we couldn't be happier as the win should increase sales of the Ben Player Project when its released.
3/7/07 - THUMBS with Dallas Singer

Thumbs up- referring to your own bed as ‘the workbench’.
Thumbs down- banks offering credit card increases. Its near impossible to say no, and then in a few months time your in 5 grand debt and earn peanuts to pay for it.
Thumbs up- good ol’ ping-pong, the only sport apart from cricket that over weight alcoholics can call themselves professional.
Thumbs down- being single and having a 2 month long dry spell.
1/7/07 - Swells Up!!! (click pic to enlarge)

The last 4 low pressure system's have provided plenty of east swell (and rain) along Australia's east coast. It's a shame they all had to come at once and not spread apart in nice weekly intervals, but i hope everyone made the most of it. Tom Bunting, better know as the Bondi Rescue star "Tommy Bondi", his lil brother Alex (he's a bodyboarder) and Jose, headed to this rare bombie fittingly named Ledges. Being a fair way out in the ocean we would normally have been a little scared, but with tommy Bondi there we knew we were in safe hands. After every wave he was on the shoulder pulling out all his best calls such as, "Just relax!" "Take a deep breath mate, we're here now" and "you cant just take someone's handbag mate!".
Alex refered to the wave as a better version of rotto box, although never having surfed rotto box before.
25/5/07 - Shark Island

Well to put it simply the first day is out of the way. 3-4ft fun Shark Island. You would have heard by now so i will keep this short. There's No I team mates dallas and winny both made the same heat, as did the hubbards. BP made it through, and the better brother toby is continuing his roll of success. The major upsets were Lester and Rawlins being knocked out in the first round. Rawlins decided his a on a roll and paddled out "Ours" for his 2nd KO in a week. John Showell and Ballard are still the local favorite's to take out the comp. Lets hope the 2nd day brings heavier conditions.
PS There was footage on Sports Tonight (Ch10) after the first day, so watch it next time for the action.
