Chad Waldron 23, and Kane Waldron 21, grew up at Norah Head on the Central Coast of New South Wales. After learning to swim at just 3 months of age the brothers spent every weekend at the beach growing up with their family as die hard clubbies, it was this ocean upbringing that provided the skills for what would eventually become their career’s. At age 10, Kane borrowed Ripping the Pit from his grandparent’s video store and quickly became a dedicated bodyboarder. Chad, a talented stand up surfer who was taking out the U/16’s division of his local club, soon grew tried of watching Kane tear apart their local reefs, throwing away the stand up in 2001 he has never looked back.

Receiving their first camera as a Christmas present, they filmed each other and their local mates. They were given a second-hand water housing from friends and after modifying the housing to fit their own camera quickly developed a love for the lens.

“We wish we could claim Vague Opportunities as our first vid but the truth is our first vid was a local vid with all the one-chip footage we had from filming our mates. It was far from the best editing or quality, but I guess it was a stepping stone and we learnt loads from the experience”. Said Chad.

Friend and custom shaper Jarrod Gibson saw their talent and encouraged the boys to have another crack. With money borrowed from their dad the brothers purchased a new camera and went on to skip the majority of their final years of school and TAFE travelling around the east coast and to Hawaii to produce their first professional film, fittingly titled Vague Opportunities.

With the success of Vague the boys continued on their quest, while still working part time jobs. They edited Damian Kings Film The Joker in 2004, finished their 2nd independent film titled Raised Height’s, in early 2005 They then went on to name their next DVD Denis after a greyhound, and then in 2006 the brothers produced a 1hr program on the Shark Island Challenge for Fuel TV and later that year released their 4th independent DVD titled Leroy.

In 2007 things don’t seem to be slowing down either, with plans to release two DVD’s for Christmas, one titled There’s No I and the other The Ben Player Project and many other side projects in the pipeline, so to say.
